This is the final poem from the series Matthew. Created early 2019 in January, I conclude my feelings and memories with a personal message that I hope is heard.
I don't think I often said
How much you meant to me
I'm sorry I was difficult
And that I couldn't see
You was my first love
I will always cherish that
All those little moments
In our cozy little flat
You gave me my nickname Joshie
And you was my Mattymoo
The only regret I have now
Is what I did to you
But please here me when I say
These words mean so much more
The one thing I should have said
Is you are worth LIVING for

For you, Matthew
I don't think I often said
How much you meant to me
I'm sorry I was difficult
And that I couldn't see
You was my first love
I will always cherish that
All those little moments
In our cozy little flat
You gave me my nickname Joshie
And you was my Mattymoo
The only regret I have now
