Self reflection

Life Made Anew

Living a dream, a life made anew

where skies are that shade of perfected blue

with just enough clouds white, billowy strewn

to create a soft palette of artistic hues

when rains fall just when they must

to water the land and keep down the dust

and the flowers bloom with the sweetest of scents

calling bees to gather their essenence.

Yes, the smell off the ocean is a fresh salty breeze

swaying sea oats, a hyponotic dance, if you please.

Where life is abundant, some wild and all free

and the moon sets the tides of waves of the sea.

Just as night follows day and leaves a mositure dew

the sun will rise for another day and it is true

that life is a circle; it ends where it starts.

The mind is the imagination, the place is the heart.

And if I could do it all over again,

I'd be kinder to my fellow man

I'd be sweeter to this one who I am

A gentler soul I hope to be

aware of all the blessings God has given me.

This is an expression of wisdom, and going forward—a guide. Beautiful.

Reading this, members of Coo & Co wish to take a trip to the seaside. We very much enjoyed the description of the seascape and surrounds, Kathy, followed by the reflective final stanza. Kindness is everything :>)

Kathy, in the truest most disarming way this is priceless. The theme and construct are so right the reader doesn't even know they're there. I can only echo the other posts as to how I feel reading and contemplating this lovely poem. Do well done!

Simply beautiful. I love the idea of everything being circular. It gives us hope for the future and understanding of the past. Lovely rhymes and sweet sentiments create a landscape at peace in a world where such reflections are dearly needed.

And while there is breath and the anticipation grows of the Master's return we shall have many a day and opportunity to be 'renewed' and grown, less like the old self and more like the new.
Such an inspiration to read! Such an encouragement. Thanks :-)
