This poem was written one day when I was thinking about my father. He taught me the most precious things in life. Things I wanted to teach my own children. Hope you all enjoy this one!
As he leans in with lots of love to send
Three kisses to the forehead
As he tucks his little girl into bed
She repeats the words that he has to say
As he teaches her how to pray
Night after night he helps her out
He loves her dearly without a doubt
Days turn into years
His eyes are filled of tears
His little girl not so little anymore
He stands proud one night at the door
Three kisses to the forehead
As she tucks her child into bed
He hears the words that she has to say
As she teaches her child how to pray
He watches wondering how she got so smart
Smiling with so much love in his heart

A Parent's Love
A day filled with laughter comes to an endAs he leans in with lots of love to send
Three kisses to the forehead
As he tucks his little girl into bed
She repeats the words that he has to say
As he teaches her how to pray
Night after night he helps her out
He loves her dearly without a doubt
Days turn into years
His eyes are filled of tears
His little girl not so little anymore
He stands proud one night at the door
Three kisses to the forehead
As she tucks her child into bed
He hears the words that she has to say
As she teaches her child how to pray
He watches wondering how she got so smart
Smiling with so much love in his heart
