A few lines of inspiration from a pot of clay

A Blossoming Hope

Finding flowers on a snowy winters day

New buds on green leaves full on display

Sitting beneath a south window in a pot of clay

Causes me to rejoice in thanksgiving and then relay

The hope for tomorrow is in the faith we have today.

This is beautifully presented, Kathy. We appreciate the feeling, the imagery, and of course the neat little rhymes. A tree in our local park has started coming into blossom recently, and we spotted a few snowdrops out too, 'The flowers of Coo', as they are known :>)

I like the idea of finding hope in simple objects. Poets need inspiration, and that may come in bits and pieces. I am happy that the "pot of clay" acted as a poetic impetus to you. :)

Hope does spring eternal, and you found it in a blossom, and I found it in your poem.
