Do Not Feel Sorry For Me
Do not feel sorry for me because this is the path I chose,Do not stand there and try to give me a rose.
The tears I cried will make me strong,
I know I did nothing wrong.
It will take awhile for my heart to heal,
I am sorry to say this is how I feel.
I am who I am whether you like it or not,
In the end I am all that I got.
I do not need you or anyone,
All I need is myself to have fun.
Do not feel sorry for me or try to make me feel bad,
It is not my fault you now feel sad.
You disrespected me after all I did for you,
I'm sorry that I believed your words were true.
You never loved me that much I know,
What you did and said were just for show.
Some people saw through your game,
Things between us will never be the same.
I will never forget the hurt you caused me,
But now it's time for me to move on and set my feelings free!
Do not feel sorry for me because my life is good,
I am living the life that I should.
No drama or headaches besides the ones I create,
No reason for me to be filled with hate.
Less stressful for the most part,
The wall is up in my heart.
It will be hard to break it down,
It feels weird not having you around.
But I am better off being alone,
At least no stones are being thrown.
Do not feel sorry for me because I do not need your pity,
I was doing better when you were not in the city.
When you came back you gave me false hope,
You taught me a different way for me to cope.
Some days all I want to do is cry,
But in the long run I know I will get by.
I am strong, determined, and a WOMAN,
To get by without you I have developed a plan.
Life is short so I am living it the best way I know how,
This is my life so I am LIVING it NOW!
