Written for my Nana who I just lost on Feb. 21, 2020
Your job on earth is now done
God saw that you were done suffering
So he called you home to be with him
Your loved ones are torn apart
Happy to know that you're no longer in pain
But deeply saddened that you're not with us anymore
You lived a good life and your love will live on
With each and every memory we shared
My eyes are blood red and sting from the salted tears
That have been rolling down my face from losing you
Now that your our guardian angel
Spread your wings and fly high
As you fill our hearts with more love than we have ever known
