After the disaster of yesterday I thought I should try and make amends...

Another day, another breakfast...

Never one to give up on hope
I thought I would give breakfast a go again
The disaster I created yesterday
Would have got the better of lesser men

But I'd now created a very careful plan
For the perfect breakfast treat
It looked absolutely delicious
When my partner took her seat

The coffee (instant) was just perfect, I'd say
Fresh poured milk had the cereal popping
The scrambled eggs I had put on toast
Would suffice till I could go out shopping

The fruit juice was just the stuff from a jar
The table was set with a determined splendour
Not a word said as she sat down to dine
But her kiss was just the right side of tender

Hello Liam,
Like an egg, you have cracked it. A beautiful breakfast in an equally beautiful poem and finished off with a kiss. What more could a man ask for? A poem set 'with a determined splendour'.
Very well done and keep cooking.

Kind regards, Tony.

There you go, nothing to it. A little TLC makes all the difference.
