Best Friends
How long can a broken heart beatLong nights of endless tears
Tear drops of a salty sweet
Kept apart by a parents hate
Not understanding or accepting
Of a twist of fate
You filled my life
With beauty, joy, and grace
You made the world
Seem to be a happier place
You're the best friend I ever had
Just being there for me
Through thick and thin
All because your my best friend
You stood by me
Along the way
My eyes to see
Each wonderful day
You held me up
When I was weak
You gave me your sholder
Upon which to weep
To me you're perfect
A gift straight from God
Your spirit brightens a room
And even dims fog
