Viral Thoughts

Sifting through importance,
brain an old cash register
pinging thoughts
ringing up solutions.

Am I locked?
Am I down?
Operational within
my circumferent world.

Where is normality?
It lurks in the distance
of sociability,
a waiting game.

Thoughts queue,
I queue,
for scarcity
of necessity.

Listening to the absence
of usual white noise,
I hear,
beauty.

It is a strange time, so many emotions and feelings - each day, I dust off my brain and sift through, finding little treasures and thoughts - no two days the same - I love the cash register - I remember well those pings!

I love "circumferent"! Also love the brain as cash register, the playing with the "social distance" phrase, and the ending. Brava!
