Midnight thoughts
Fall in love while you're young
Fall in love while you're young,
Cos the older you get the more cynical you become.
Fall in love while you're young,
Cos the older you get the less flexible you become. (pun intended;)
Fall in love when you're by the beach
Cos each mountain is a hurdle you'd rather not climb.
Fall in love while fairytales still have happy endings,
Cos you'll soon learn what really happened to Sleeping Beauty.
Fall in love while your words are bold
And they tumble out of you with such naive honesty, you won't need to bottle them up,
Cos once you're older you'll have to watch what you say and do as you say and never have a say.
So just fall in love while you still believe in love,
Cos soon enough you'll be old enough to know better.
