In a different world and a different time what was acceptable is not in this modern world.. Slavery IS still a curse among us but it is for all of us to bring about its end.
Lessons from the past...
Such is this history for all to see
That I cannot give blame to the past
From within it I am its future
No matter the darkest shadows cast
A statue erected for a worthy soul
Cast doubt on the integrity of intent
The blood of his chattels well hidden
Revealing a history not meant
All are created equal it's said
But the power and glory are mine
To dominate another being
On I the light of God did shine
In what Dietys' name can it be said
An accident of birth is all deciding
That the haves should have and others not
With no God in their soul residing
Blame me not for my fathers sins
In the history did our future lie
Shut not our eyes to a bloody past
But learn the Lesson that cannot die
