Happiness by Ann Wood

Happiness - you know, it's very simple:
When you visit your brother.
When you make sweets with cinnamon.
When you say to yourself, "I was brave today."
When you give yourself the last bite.
When a baby's thumb touches you.
When you are sick and they give you tea.
When the Balkans seem endless.
When you dream that your grandmother is alive.
When you are told that you are beautiful.
When you play with the autumn noise.
When you swallow your rude word.
When you read a fairy tale book.
When the lark sounded outside.
When you donate without waiting for a replacement.
When you see your child laughing.
When you see an old friend.
When you awaken in the child a dreamer.
When you stop wondering "where is it"
and you just let it live in you!

Happiness is all around us. Sometimes it takes a bit of looking to find it. Well done.
