A wizard by Ann Wood

A wizard worked on a ship in the Caribbean. The travelers were different each week, so the magician did the same tricks every time. Unfortunately, the captain's parrot began to understand how the numbers work and began to spoil the show. During the show, he shouted, "It's not the same hat," "Hides the flowers under the table," "Why are all the cards an ace?"

The wizard was furious, but there was nothing he could do. One day the ship had an accident and sank. The wizard found himself on a beam in the middle of the ocean with the parrot. The two looked at each other with hatred but did not utter a word. A day passed, a second passed, no one said anything. Finally, nearly a week later, the parrot said,

"Okay, I'm giving up." Where is the ship?
