Vernal Equinox (Triolet)

Long shadows oer land is cast
as autumn sheds her floozy breath.
Spring and summer now gone past
long shadows oer land is cast
As time speeds ere so fast,
A short span met by death
Long shadows oer land is cast
As autumn sheds her floozy breath

My heart is torn as tears cascade
A vernal equinoxes strangest tug
Night is yet another faded shade
My heart is torn as tears cascade
With burdens heave, so overlaid
Narrow shoulders stoop in shrug
My heart torn as tears cascade
A vernal equinoxes strangest tug.

Dear Elle,

This is an uplifting memory of lockdown, and I found myself 'singing' your poem in the bath! I can see the folkloric quality of your sentiments and am much moved by them.

Bravo!

Cheers,

Chris

This flows so well, I found it to be very emotional, I have walked almost every day during lockdown in my local park and this translates the feeling, the seasons I have felt. A beautiful piece.
