A new strain of Covid brings a greater strain on us. It is difficult to understand the need for "rules" but we must obey without question. There is light at the end of this darkness, so hold on to your dreams.
Hold on to your dreams...
This is our winter of such contempt
For the rules our governments bring
Ignorance of the facts, perhaps
Or from a different hymn sheet they sing
Loved ones estranged for safetys sake
A pandemic that knows no choice
Rich man, poor man, beggar or thief
Supplication in a collective voice
Do the sins of our past lie behind us?
Per chance a bright future has now begun
Faith and prayers seemed futile then
Hope, the redemption for everyone
But time will heal and we will endure
A cure is at hand it would seem
And remember within these darkest of days
We still have the right to dream
