Reflections Of What Should Be
The water washes away the picturesas I draw them in the sand.
The sea comes in with a powerful roar
changing the face of the land.
Who am I, but a solitary soul,
wand'rng amongst the living.
I'm nothing without the creator's might;
His tender mercies given.
I build castles made of sand that crumble
in the harshness of the waves.
He builds Kingdoms made from his spoken words
that protect, infect, and save!
Like an empty shell, I am tossed and torn
without purpose or worth.
His spirit enters into the void
giving me life, a new birth.
I live a life that etches as crystal;
a sculptor's world do I see
changing, ever changing, the seascapes art
reflections of what should be.
