A cloud of disquietude
Hovers above me
Like a blanket of gloom
Oh! Lord my God
Lift this veil off me
Light my path
Show me the way
Guide me aright
Quicken my mind
For me, family and man
Lest I slip
Slip into this dark abyss
Abyss of nothingness
