Slow Change

Fall asleep in a car when the streetlights change slow
You don't know what you are, you don't know what you know
Blocked by buildings like clouds, suffocating shadow
People gather in crowds, swirl like patterns of snow

Falling deep into down in a world far below
Take a subway to town break into a window
Screen is breathing like a nameless thing
Without voice is asking you to bring
A gift like the present in Nights ephemeral
You don't know what you are, you don't know what you know
Fall asleep in a car when the streetlights change slow

Through the progression of each line, I'm left with the impression of a heavy weight settling well in. The line "Fall asleep in a car when the streetlights change slow" as a start and a finish create a desolate kind of feeling as well. Like things are dragging on while you're in the middle of it in a dazed-like state. Always appreciate how your imaged lines are able to conjure so much feeling, thanks.
