You are by Ann Wood
You are a joy to me, child, warm sun in icy winter,
a piece of eternity from my heart,
and support in my soul rhymes.
I am a solid rock for you,
from which you break your strength,
emergency help from a warm hand,
in which hope I have hidden.
I wish you blue dreams,
golden sunrise and sunset in purple,
and whatever your heart decides,
do it because it is right.
I wish you a bright destiny,
your truth to stand up,
in health, strength and in many summers
to create, to burn and to distribute.
I wish you, son, love,
only with it will you be successful,
I ask God for a ray of blessing,
to protect you ... even wrong.
