If you don't get his joke

Then you must not be woke

'Cuase Alan is a funny bloke

Even when he writes seriously

(And he does it so fabulously)

He finds a way to lighten it up

He puts laughter inside my cup

Turns my frown right-side-up

Blessed are we, those of us

Who may have just gotten off the bus

We who have had the pleasure

Of his wonderful character
