Migrant

I am a migrant

Since conception

I've been a migrant

from my meager beginnings

as an emerging migrant,

cell division upon cell division,

I've migrated toward my face

past the cutting

of my umbilical cord

into the passage

from day to night,

through night

through day

migrating

through seasons

years

decades

changing my way of thinking

migrating

from thought to thought

from world view

into world view

traveling a hall of attitudes

convictions

whims

I am a migrant

Wow! And a very skilled one may I say! I love this poem - which was worthy of repeated reads to savour it's ... shall I say piquancy.
