Silence by Ann Wood

It is a quiet summer night outside, only the song of crickets can be heard in the darkness.
Silence envelops the night, everyone is asleep, but not the crickets.
Silence covered with darkness, is sitting next to my bed and looking at me.
The silence is so thick you could cut it with a knife.
Silence is huddled in the corner of my room, watching me sleep.
