i play the divines

I play god, and the devil
Build bridges then burn them
Forgive, but forget nothing
I can greatly reward and brutally punish

But intention seems to be everything
Who waits on the other side of that bridge
What exactly was done
What position you are in when no one saw you point the gun

How hazy it can be,
To rule with an iron thumb
when your body is just flesh and bone
How easy it can be, to put yourself above

How dangerous it can be living inside glass walls
and gifted with heavy stones
Platforms and pillars, torches and pitchforks
I play the divines just to know them better sometimes
