October Tetralogy
1.
The war is a result
of one man's discomfort
In his nocturnal dreams
he vandalizes bus shelters
and tears flowers out of flowerbeds
In his desolate power
he demolishes apartment buildings,
envious of the contentment
of simple mailmen and shop assistants
2.
When I, for a time,
let Proust's A la recherche du temps perdu rest,
for the benefit of Terrence W. Deacon's
Incomplete Nature;
How Mind Emerges from Matter,
it feels like a betrayal...
Isn't that curious?
3.

keeping the roaring lion within
from the roaring wealth of madness
without
4.
There is a sexual fancy
in the ridicule
of common sense
