Dreams Are Desires~Waiting
The one, who says he loves me, leaves me all alone.
Oh, another one courts me through notes and on the phone.
And one who desires to be in my loving embrace,
He is too young for a woman with age on her face.
Where is the one who brought me chocolates, roses, and wine?
He calls me up to tell me he wants to see me one more time.
I am in a quandary of just what I should do.
Is there an answer that will bring me the love that's true?
Should I take the one who loves me but never comes near?
Should I wait for the romancer who fills my heart with cheer?
Should I cast aside the hindrance of age and take the boy as mine?
Should I call the man with all the gifts and give him one more time?
I think that I shall wait for the knight who rescues me in my dreams;
Who rides upon a white horse with gallantry and valor it seems.
But he is just a vision, a woman's wish for romance that's real.
Will my dream lover ever come embrace me and tell me how he feels?
