Antiphons
antiphons and collects. canticles and hymns. sonnets and songs.
i would compose them in veneration of any woman who has a forthright voice, and eyes that can wither the proud or flourish the humble, and a heart that laughs (be it gently or raucously) at masculine pretension, and feet that move upon the earth like balm and benediction, and regal poise, and majestic vulnerability, and capacious embrace, and fiery wrath against anything that would blight or betray compassion.
