afraid

people claim they never lie
but you know they do
if you dont already know why
ill tell you
they're afraid
afraid you wont like them
afraid you wont care
afraid you wont want to be their friend
afraid of baring
.....out their soul
for you to laugh at
like a meaningless hole
or a short kid up to bat
afraid that you might see
...the person behind the mask
afraid that they might be
....unready for the task
of...........telling you the truth
