To ‘Parr’
So many memoriesI can build
Build in sunshine
In lagoons
In places of peace
And youthfulness
And children playing
Unaware of time and
And age stealing time from
Us.
Days stopping dogs
From fighting
Events which kept us
Learning, growing
Evolving
For that time
That would steal our
Youth
And slip us from one
Another
And every so often
We would recollect
And grow old and
Forget a little
Until that day
When we would
Find pleasure
And untold emotion
In that recollection.
And then the next time
Shall be
When we all play together again .
