Flow of Life

The Flow of Life goes ever on
always renewing
and always forgetting

Getting surprised in new waves
what older foam whispers "I told you so"
about

And it all floats back to the same end
to be caught in an all-swallowing swirl
or a great Maelstrom
and that is many a waves only goal

But, oh, what folly
what illusion it is
to cling to the everchanging.

this is thought provoking! I love the comparison to the flow of water, the sea, the shore. It is everchanging and leaves to stronghold for clinging. well done kathy

lastromantichero The PoetBay support member heart!
so brilliantly said Erik and so true of the penchant many have for clinging to an ever moving illusionary goal

I guess it is life itself that is ever changing and ones skill at adaptation to the changes that demarks the successful or the failures well done a thought provoking text
