Underneath The Old Oak Tree

Underneath the old oak tree
we lie entwined,
just like its roots
embedded in time.

You are mine
and I am yours forever,
spring is just a breath away,
another dawn before we wake.

I will count
the seconds as they go by,
waiting for
the sun to rise.

To once and for all time,
hold you in my arms
and kiss your lips
as we lie entwined.
