The Unreluctant Royalist
I believe in hierarchy. Or at least,
my errant heart does. I believe
my heart needs a queen, a ruler,
a sovereign monarch, to calm
its tumult and fret, to unvex it,
to replace the nettles and thorns
with music and cool clear water.
