A sad news by Ann Wood
💔 It is with great sadness that we announce that our sunny photographer Yavor and his friend Annie are no longer with us.
They were swept away on Sunday and Monday shortly after midnight by an 18-year-old driver on Slivnitsa Blvd., crossing the crosswalk on the way home.
🚦 The cruel fate of the two young men - sane, cheerful and in love, is another negative example of the war on the roads in our country, which claimed two more victims.
Annie, this radiant and humble girl, has been attending our tours since she and Yavor got together. They went through the ordeal called "long distance relationship" so that they could enjoy their time together under one roof.
😓 Until this damned night, in which they probably took their last breath holding hands.
Whatever we say will not be enough. No matter how expansively we describe the memories together, it will not be wider than Yavkata's smile.
😥 Dear children, you do not deserve and will not be forgotten!
One September day, Yavor came as a guest on our tour dedicated to the Proshek brothers. After the end, he himself offered to shoot for Step by Step. He said that he liked how our walks went and that he saw the same enthusiasm that he had. This self-invitation turned out to be the best thing that ever happened to our organization and, naturally, it was accepted instantly.
📸 "I'm just an amateur, you know! But for this money, so much..." - he claimed with undisguised and unjustified self-irony. Yavor's photos show clearly enough what kind of talent he was. Self-taught talent!
With his lens, he captured hundreds of metropolitan sighs, smiles and thoughtful looks. He loved photographing not only our events, but also their surroundings – the facades of the buildings we stopped in front of, or the cats on the sidewalks.
💞 The caption on one of his photos says that "The key is love" and we believe that it will be the one that will keep Sycamore and Annie in heaven.
We offer our sincere condolences to their families.
💛 We hope the young people will be remembered for their purity and ease, for how human and serene they were. We're sharing some photos by Yavkata to remember his talent and the moments we spent together.
As we have information, we'll share when and where we might send these two twinkling stars on their final journey.
