Solve, Dissolve

Stay

as if nothing

Watch the dates pass,

the almanac grind time

Add days to days

and watch everything slowly turn over,

like the sleeping giant in the fairytale,

like categorical standpoints,

like groundless convictions

as everything appears

- gradually -

different

and finally like a memory

that can be over-hauled, redefined

and adapted,

until, in the end, it dissolves

and disappears

A fine poem, Ingvar. I think the viewpoint is one that gradually arrives as the age numbers increment. Every damn thing in this 'reality' changes, and sometimes it is difficult to maintain an appreciation when you know it will all crumble to dust in the very end. I guess this is why I have been encouraged to live in 'the now' - they tell me it is the only reality.
