A Summer Storm by Ann Wood

After the scorching heat, there was a storm, with thunder and hail.
It rained like a torrent, but the heat did not go away.
I stood in front of the window and watched the furious dance of the raindrops.
The air was filled with mist and the storm was swirling like crazy.
A summer storm in the early night, and only the birds could be heard singing outside in the garden.
