Re incarnation

I’m a dragonfly
butterfly
a cone in the dog’s mouth
to be over again
all in one
like air and light
indivisible
but in the tight suit of life
nothing happens twice
and it won’t happen
even if I wanted to
arise
once again

Wonderful. I loved following you along the nuances of your dallying mind. The first three lines are especially wonderful.

As the saying goes, "Art is in the eye of the beholder, and everyone will have their own interpretation." Poetry is definitely Art, and for me, one of the miracle aspects of existence is that we are all of us unique individuals. Again, for me, this uniqueness, and difference between us all, only gives more power to the concept that we are each of us part of the whole - each contributing to the 'purpose'.

Anna, I find this a poem that metaphorically discusses the cyclical nature of things but emphasises the perceived constraints of being alive as a human being, quite fascinating. It is a very interesting read - even though I have reservations about the implied outcome of wishing to start all over again. (Don't get me on my bandwagon!)
Blessings and love, Allen
