ADVENT
The day is muffled up
The cold stands shivering
The warmth stays indoors
The atmosphere suffers from asthma
Memories don't recall anything
The Earth is homeless
In Gaza, Israel offers body parts
God has other things to attend to
Abraham & Moses begin to retract their statements
Seventeen Swedish regiments file a class action against peace
The mood is perma-frosty
For granted is taken again and again, group-rapy
I seize the opportunity to live as soon as I have a life to spare
Someone starts showing signs
Slippery newborns pass from hand to hand
Someone weeps in the porridge long ago
Futures fight amongst themselves
Enough is full of itself
Nothing always has room for more
I have a you-mirror, you an I
The hunt is circular: Who hunter, who prey?
I begin to harbour feelings of guilt for food, warmth, clothes;
for pen & paper
Suffering is meticulous & precise,
delivered by the diligent & reliable
I take a bite of devastation, sweet as honey
in the daily innocence
Misunderstandings form sects; receive state grants
The measured time has serious flaws
Death is either a repressive measure
or an evasion
A cup of coffee forgives everything
