Stephen's Day is the third day of Christmas, and the name Stephen means crown of God!
From St. Stephen's Day to St. John's Day, the customs characteristic of the Dirty Days are observed - women should not sweep, wash their hair, do laundry, weddings, baptisms, funerals are not held.
On St. Stephen's Day, the young family usually goes to visit their godparents and their parents, meat dishes and meat pie are prepared.
