who will convince you that you are happy by doing that and that?

the philosophers of antiquity or well-being manuals, or the consumer society?

the truth (what is at stake?)

the lawyer must convince the jurors of his client's innocence despite the charges against him...
the politician must convince as many voters as possible to vote for him
the seller must convince that his product has the best value for money
The priest must convince believers that what they will gain is eternal life.
you can be convinced by yourself but your vote only will not make the difference...

As regards your prefaced question: I guess it depends on your level of existence. That sounds very elitist I know, but we all have our place in the scheme of things and should appreciate there is a place for everything and everyone else. It is what is important to you that makes it important! Blessings, Allen
