Thought I'd do two variations on a theme
This of course being my second.

ACTUALLY I LOVE SUMMER

Actually I love summer,
The smell of fresh cut grass.
Warm air wafting through the breeze,
Seeing all the flowers sprouting leaf's.
Even walking in the summer rain,
Brings me back to my youth again.
Down to Woolworths the tram we'd take,
So we could taste their strawberry milkshake.
With all the fun of the fair,
The carnival was here.
Then again I must confess, I always liked
the strawberry ice cream the best.
Then a picnic with an Oxo cube,
Sprinkled on our buttered bread.
When we got older going down the pub,
To shoot some pool, Or playing
cribbage, card's or darts.
Ordering mixes to drink.
What was mine now let me think,
Ah yes a rum and blackcurrant, With
a full measure of dubonnet over ice.
Yes that's what I used to drink:
Back then there were no breathalyzers.
Didn't drive back then, I remember when
they were proper pub crawls in there days.
Now what was that saying we used to say,
To see if we were drunker than we thunk.
I'd rather have a full bottle in front of me,
Then a full frontal lobotomy.
I still remember it to this day.
