Dalliance with Dilli

As you arrive
today in Delhi
i do have a few words
to say to you
to somehow
make it feel
that its not bad
and its not truly
and it could be good too
if you take it all in your stride
and go out to have a look
at Delhi outside the comfort
of office and confines of home
and yes
beyond the golf courses.

This time
try not to
rush out
but stay put
here in Delhi on long weekends
and roam about
aimlessly with a prop
a book or a camera
or a sketchbook & Pencil
and rest under a tree
or lie over grass
to spend your days.

On evenings, visit the art district
to watch a play
but you are so big
that its difficult
to fit anywhere
or just into anything.

so whatever it is
you explore to do
Let it come to you
and surprise you.

May this
dalliance with Delhi
make you walk and
time fly.

And may
just sometime
the time holds you
hand in hand
for you to forget
it.
