NOTHING LIKE A MONOTONOUS LIFE
When we were younger,We had carefree dreams.
Didn't care if we were rich or poor,
Our future's were busting at the seams.
Everywhere we went was in black and white,
There wasn't any colour in our streets.
Didn't matter if it was day or night,
We were so poor we could only afford
black and white.
All the flowers and the roundabouts,
Where different shades of grey.
Our days weren't mapped out,
We could do whatever we wished each day.
When I got older I met this beautiful girl,
She became the love of my life.
But it wasn't until we decided to wed,
That we shared a very colourful life.
