MADNESS EXCEPTED

I have a onset of madness,
Within this mind of mine.
It's called mixed dementia,
I think i've had it all the time.

It's discombobulated my thoughts,
Driving out the sanity of my mind.
This madness belongs to me,
I think i've had it all the time.

It's the only constant in my life,
Helping me when I wake to write.
For no reason when I rhythm,
I think i've had it all the time.

There's no tomorrow's only today's,
I seem to forget my yesterday's.
Mixed dementia is so unkind,
I think i've had it all the time.

This train of poetry is something hard to comment on, because we all know how awful dementia can be and the right words are really difficult to structure. Your poem expresses your situation cleverly I think, and it inspires me to send you thoughts of encouragement and positivity, Alan. Blessings and love, Allen
