Remembering How Light
Remembering how the light became
A kind of sacred halo
Hallowing her hair
And in the temples of her eyes
Were skies of joyful laughter ascending,
Shining through the lowering night
As though
There was only love to know
Although
It was miraculous to see the world ending
With an infinite shadow
She changed her dress for other skies
Giving all desires her disguise
Quite clear to see, all the same
Remembering how the light became,
