What happens to a dream deferred?It becomes:
The voice in the darkness
The itch in the night
The emblem of despair
The scratch in the back of the throat
The sore in the genitals
The heaviness in the heart
The reigns on the horse
that pulls the hearse
where lies a corpse
of a life unfulfilled
wearing an ill smile
and an unfitting suit
on its way to limbo
and obsolescence
aching aching aching
all the way
