My love kept me safe for you.

Krishna

He is all wilderness
and he d lead you there,
mind you
I had no clue.

I found him
by a window shelf
on my return trip
from the Valley of Flowers
in July 2019
in the month of saavan
and he just came along
with me
i was gone
in the very first look
i had of him.

Of course,
i did not know it then
that he was mine
and he came with me
because he knew
i was his.

I always found him
sitting by the mantle
watching in silence
as i would
continue to gaze at him
turning into a stare sometimes
when i thought
he was challenging me
to do something
my perpetual witness
pushing me for action.

And i moved out
only to move back in
after two months
shifting houses
and he moved away
to where i was not
looking any more.

Then i moved him again
to the top of my study table
out of my field of vision
but yesterday i got him near
and its exactly then
i knew
what he meant to me
But more importantly for me,
what i meant to him,
for he has not yet declared
but i feel it in every act
and that love is an action
in the present continuous tense.

He has me hooked
he knows
but wants me to know
thats its actually me
who is alluring.

I think this is a very interesting poem that is probably inspired by Krishna Janmashtami (I think I've got that right!)_ I always find this form of writing appealing especially when it is applied to what I am going to call 'mysterious' subjects. (religious/mystic etc) Well done. Blessings, Allen
