What happen to that little girl?

Seized with dread and worry about the future

I grasp a chair and the room slowly stops
spinning around
the walls stop
closing in on me

an inexplicable fear of the unknown
because I can't let go of the past

A scaremongering created by my own brain

I sit on the floor and start reminiscing
the days where exploring the unknown
gave meaning to my life

I stand up and wipe my tears
and write on the window
With my wet fingertip

What happened to that little girl?

I start singing
-I wonder why
I wonder how
yesterday you told me about the blue blue sky......

I see something that draws my attention
I smile, mesmerized

a ray of light reflects on my tears

The words, what happened to that little girl?,
project on the walls in all the
colours of the rainbow

I look at the sun and grin

Yesterday told me about the blue sky
Today tells me about the colours of the rainbow

Life is not only black and white
Time is not only past and future

I now see life through a crystal
a spectrum of opportunities
appears

I can clearly see the correct timeline
Past- present- Future

I put my hat on, open the door
lay on the grass and observe the clouds
changing shapes....

Time can stand still for a while
let the worries of tommorow come tommorow
let bygones be bygones ...

This is a beautiful poem of rediscovering of oneself and the wisdom that comes from it. Your imagery is beautifully vivid and the flow and smoothness of this poem make this a wonderfu experience to read. :) kathy
