[quickest note to j.m.f.]
a palpable feeling
of soulcare
is present whenever we read you
it's as if you know
how often our lives
are dry and searing
each step toil and struggle
and so you make your poems
great springs of living water
for the parched spirit
or seen differently
they are heartstations
meditation rooms
chapels of a kind
where a body can refresh itself
to breathe again
in peace
