They'd hoped they'd be able to bully the Russians.
Instead, they brought ruin to most of Ukraine.
They'd hoped to win votes for their looming elections
By tying themselves to a racist regime.  In the end,
The whole world has called them disgusting, and they've
Lost more votes than they'd hoped they would gain.
They thought we'd be safer if we all had guns,
But the massacres seem to occur every day,
And they hoped to keep China from being our
Equal by holding back sales of machines they would
Need, but the Chinese are learning to produce their
Own.  It's possible that there are stupider people
Than those we keep choosing to serve as our leaders,
But I don't believe I've met one.
