J. S. Bach II
Bach pads around the house
on all his thousand feet,
all the walls & floors his scores,
the ceilings his overarching structures;
the rooms' volume his breaking point;
his Wohltemperierte Clavier
dizzyingly crisscrossed termite mounds;
his sonatas & partitas
bloody suicide scalpels
against a cloudless sky;
his organ works
heavy wheel loaders & relentless forestry machines
that sometimes humble themselves for appearance's sake
