Not so supermarket today's rant

It's strange to think Christmas is here,
Supermarkets are filling there coffers this year.
Only the markets aren't that super,
There's no Christmas music playing,
No slaying down the aisle, not even
A Christmas tree in sight.
Why have supermarkets abandoned
Christmas cheer, with what we spend
at this time of year. Okay so last year
they went to far, Playing Christmas music
In November. You may think I'm a
ba humbug type, but tell me why
Do they sell a £20 bottle of booze for Christmas
For £10 ? Same with the food. I mean there not
giving it away and if it's not being subsidised:
After all at £10 they must still be able to make a
profit. If they were making a loss on things
they sold, They wouldn't be in business.
Or is just one supermarket that's doing this?
In good old England, I think not.
While I'm at it, What's happened to my
Pickled eggs and my apricot brandy.
Just another two items disappearing
from the shelves.

That and the removal of the 'purple ones' in what used to be 'Quality' Street! Commiserations, my friend.
